Fourth of July on 30A: your 2026 fireworks and events guide

The Fourth of July on 30A in 2026 falls on Saturday, July 4, and it doubles as America's 250th birthday, so every community from Grayton Beach to Inlet Beach is going bigger than usual. Seaside hosts the largest fireworks show on the Gulf Coast at 8:30 PM, Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach add evening concerts and fireworks of their own, and the best parades happen early that morning in Grayton Beach and Rosemary Beach. Below: a full schedule at a glance, where to watch, where to park, and how to actually enjoy the busiest day of the year on this coast.

This year the Fourth of July on 30A is not just any holiday. July 4, 2026 lands on a Saturday, and it marks the nation's 250th anniversary, which means more people, tighter parking, and a few real choices about where to spend your evening.

We sell, live, and celebrate on this coast, so we wrote the guide we wish every visitor had. The best fireworks shows, where to actually watch them, where to park, and which mornings are worth setting an alarm for. Here is how to do the Fourth right.

When is the Fourth of July on 30A in 2026?

The best fireworks shows on 30A

If you catch only one show, here is how we would choose. The shows overlap in timing, so pick one and commit. Trying to catch two usually means missing both.

Seaside

When: Fireworks 8:30 PM, Pops concert 7 PM. Where: Seaside beachfront, in front of the Amphitheater.

Seaside hosts the largest fireworks show on the Gulf Coast, launched over the water at 8:30 PM. It is the marquee event for all of 30A, capped by a Sinfonia Gulf Coast Patriotic Pops concert at 7 PM as the sun sets.

The tradeoff is simple. This is the biggest crowd of the year, the green fills early, and getting out afterward takes patience. Come for the energy, not for a quiet night.

Alys Beach

When: Concert 7 to 9 PM, fireworks around 9 PM. Where: Alys Beach Amphitheatre lawn, right off 30A.

Alys Beach does the Fourth the way it does everything, which is to say beautifully and without fuss. A free concert on the green runs through the evening, with fireworks launched over the Gulf around 9 PM and food and drinks available on site.

Bring a blanket or a low chair, and take the walk through those white Mediterranean streets after dark. It is one of the most striking places on the coast at night. One note: the fireworks barge travels from Destin Harbor, so the show can be called off if Gulf conditions are rough.

WaterColor

When: Around 8:30 PM. Where: WaterColor Beach Club (for WaterColor Inn guests and Community guests and owners).

WaterColor runs an all-day Beach Club celebration with live music, a chef's cookout, and a fireworks show over the Gulf in the evening. The catch: the Beach Club itself is open only to WaterColor Inn guests and Community guests and owners.

If you are staying inside WaterColor, you have a front-row seat without the Seaside crush. If you are not, a nearby public beach access can still catch part of the show.

Morning parades and daytime events

The best part of the Fourth here is not the fireworks. It is the mornings. Two neighborhood parades set the tone, and both wrap up before the heat and the crowds arrive.

Grayton Beach

When: Lines up around 8 AM, steps off shortly after. Where: Near The Red Bar, Grayton Beach.

Grayton Beach throws the most beloved parade on 30A, and it is gloriously low key. There is no registration and no float committee. Golf carts, bikes, Jeeps, kids, and dogs all get decorated, and everyone just falls in line.

This is Grayton at its finest: real, a little weird, and entirely wonderful. Afterward, grab a patriotic brunch nearby or take something to go for a feet-in-the-sand picnic.

Rosemary Beach

When: Breakfast 7:30 AM, bike parade 8:45 AM, concert 6:30 to 8:30 PM, fireworks 8:45 PM. Where: Town Center, Western Green, and the beachfront, Rosemary Beach.

Rosemary Beach runs a full-day celebration that feels straight out of another era. It starts with a bike decorating contest and breakfast at 7:30 AM, then a patriotic bike parade at 8:45 AM that rolls from North Barrett Square to the Western Green for an old-fashioned family field day.

In the evening, a concert under the stars runs from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, followed by a fireworks show on the beach around 8:45 PM. Direct beach access is reserved for Rosemary homeowners and guests, but the fireworks are visible from other stretches of the beach nearby. It is one of the most walkable and elegant ways to spend the day.

Seaside block party

When: 9 AM to noon. Where: Central Square, Seaside.

Seaside's Central Square block party features a patriotic performance and the National Anthem at 9 AM, live music from Huck and Lily at 10 AM, a children's bike parade at 11 AM, and a hot dog eating contest at 11:30 AM. It is high energy and genuinely fun for adults too, even the ones who claim they are only there for the coffee. The music continues on Krier Plaza in the afternoon.

WaterColor kids parade

When: Friday, July 3, 10 AM. Where: Cerulean Park to Marina Park, WaterColor.

WaterColor kicks things off a day early. Kids decorate bikes and wagons at Cerulean Park, then ride to Marina Park for a parade and family activities. It is relaxed, pretty, and open to everyone, not just WaterColor guests.

Where to park on the Fourth, and the case for leaving the car

Parking on 30A is competitive on a normal summer day. On the Fourth, it is a contact sport. Our honest advice is to not drive if you can avoid it.

  • Bike or golf cart. This is the single best decision you will make all day. You will get there faster, skip the parking hunt, and the ride home under the lights is half the fun.
  • Arrive early for the parades. For Grayton Beach and Rosemary Beach, the streets fill before 8 AM. Park near AJ's or the Grayton town center and walk in.
  • For Seaside, come and stay. The green and nearby lots fill hours ahead of the 8:30 PM show. If you are set on driving, arrive for dinner and hold your spot.
  • Have a dinner plan. Every restaurant with outdoor seating will have a wait. Reserve ahead, or choose a quieter community like Rosemary Beach or Alys Beach for the evening.

Fireworks worth a short drive: Destin, Sandestin, and Panama City Beach

If 30A's crowds sound like a bit much, three nearby shows are worth the drive.

Destin, HarborWalk Village

When: Festivities 6 PM, music 7 to 9 PM, fireworks 9 PM. Where: HarborWalk Village, Destin.

One local note: the July 4 show at HarborWalk Village launches from West Jetties Beach rather than the usual harbor barge, so it runs longer, closer to 15 minutes, but reads a little smaller than the weekly summer shows. Watch from the harbor boardwalk, the Destin bridge walkway, or Norriego Point.

Sandestin, Baytowne Wharf

When: Live music 7 to 9:15 PM, fireworks 9:15 PM. Where: The Village of Baytowne Wharf, Sandestin, Miramar Beach.

Red, White and Baytowne is our pick for families. Fireworks burst over the lagoon, parking is easier than on 30A, the village is gated and walkable, and there are kids' crafts, face painting, and balloon sculpting to keep little ones busy before the show.

Panama City Beach

When: Around 9 PM. Where: The beach between Russell-Fields and M.B. Miller Piers.

For the biggest show on the Gulf Coast, Panama City Beach's Star Spangled Spectacular fires from two piers at once for about 30 minutes, synced to a music simulcast on local radio. Stake out a spot on the beach between the piers for the full dual-launch effect. Just know the post-show traffic back to 30A is real, so build in extra time.

How to plan the perfect Fourth on 30A

Here is the rhythm we recommend.

  1. Morning: catch the Grayton Beach or Rosemary Beach parade. Both wrap by 9:30 AM, which frees up your whole day.
  2. Midday: hit the beach before the afternoon crowds peak. Swim, lunch, and a nap. You will want the energy later.
  3. Evening: pick one fireworks show and commit. Seaside for the full classic experience, Rosemary Beach or Alys Beach for a more elegant evening, WaterColor if you are staying there, Baytowne for families, or Panama City Beach for the biggest show.

One more thing. Confirm exact times with each community the week of the Fourth. With the 250th anniversary, several are expanding their lineups, and start times can shift. Walton County's official tourism site, Visit South Walton, keeps a running event calendar.

FAQ: Fourth of July on 30A

What time are the fireworks on 30A on the Fourth of July?

On 30A, Seaside launches its fireworks at 8:30 PM, Rosemary Beach follows around 8:45 PM, and Alys Beach lights up near 9 PM after its evening concert. WaterColor's Beach Club show also runs around 8:30 PM. Most shows fall between 8:30 and 9 PM, so confirm the exact time for your community the week of the Fourth.

Where is the best place to watch fireworks on 30A?

For the biggest show, watch Seaside's fireworks from the beach in front of the Amphitheater. For a calmer, more elegant evening, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach both pair concerts with fireworks. If you want the absolute largest display in the area, Panama City Beach fires from two piers at once.

Does Rosemary Beach have fireworks on the Fourth of July?

Yes. Rosemary Beach hosts an evening concert from 6:30 to 8:30 PM followed by a fireworks show on the beach around 8:45 PM, on top of its morning bike parade. Direct beach access is reserved for Rosemary homeowners and guests, but the fireworks can be seen from other parts of the beach nearby.

Where should I park for the Seaside fireworks?

Honestly, the smartest move is to skip the car. Seaside's green and nearby lots fill hours before the 8:30 PM show, so a bike or golf cart will save you the hunt and the walk. If you do drive, arrive early, come for dinner, and plan to wait out the traffic afterward.

Yes. Destin's HarborWalk Village hosts the City of Destin fireworks at 9 PM, and The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Miramar Beach runs Red, White and Baytowne with fireworks over the lagoon at 9:15 PM. Baytowne is our pick for families thanks to easier parking and a full evening of activities.
